An English Doujin Group
What's doujin?
Doujinshi refers to self published works, be it manga, novels, software or on the rare occassion even full on anime (Voice of a Distant Star, made (almost) entirely by one crazy otaku called Makoto Shinkai). Their plot could either be original or based on an established work.
What's a doujin group?
Doujin groups (or circles, whatever) is just a collection of people who come together and make doujin. When you think about it, it's pretty hard for one person to have all the skills necessary to put together a story. Some people are good at writing plots, some are good at drawing, others are good at coding or whatever. Getting together different talents allows you to make better doujin and tackle larger stories.
But I thought doujin groups/circles only exist in Japan?
See that's the thing, we all know that but come to think of it, why is it like that? Anime/manga are getting plenty of followers all around the world nowadays, so there's not exactly any shortage of fans. And it's not like only the Japanese can draw or something. I tried to put together a list of talente they have in Japan that we don't have around here, and I came up with a big fat zero. So I thought, well shit, we could make doujins too!
